Hey Gang! Hope your new year is still going well.

This is going to be a busy week of contracts, taxes, and other matters of import. Fortunately, I also have time to draw! Sooo…

Got a bit of an announcement for the world this Wednesday ($5 Patrons already know) that will keep me busy for a little while. The next page of Black Label is one panel short of finished and the next page of Amazon is more or less sketched. Lots of fun stuff to look forward to!

So, crazy story…I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Svetlana Chmakova. She’s an artist/writer that I really admire. She’s done books such as DramaCon, Nightschool, and a series of books called Awkward, Brave, and Crush. She’s an amazing creator that I had the opportunity to meet at a convention a few years ago and she’s a pretty cool person.

I’m gonna play DnD with her this Saturday. :D

It’s a strange, wonderful world we live in, right?! Very excited! Gonna be fun!

So…Carmen Sandiego…

…I don’t like to rant. All ranting tends to do is put other people in a fowl mood. I’d rather stay positive and give people something to smile about. There’s enough crap out in the world to deal with already, I don’t need to add to it.

Then I saw the Netflix trailer for Carmen Sandiego…

It is exactly like every other cartoon reboot that’s come out in the past decade; a young Carmen Sandiego going to Hogwarts to learn how to be a wizard, superhero, guardian, criminal or whatever. And then in the trailer she actually utters the phrase, “That was when I realized that stealing is not a game…” Bullshit! That is exactly what stealing is to Carmen Sandiego! That was the whole point!!!

So, in my frustration, I sat down and wrote a treatment for a better Netflix show. Enjoy!

International criminal Carmen Sandiego has struck again, this time stealing a priceless painting from the Louvre in a brilliant daylight robbery. This is her third heist in so many days, and the ICPO is losing patience…

Carmen Sandiego has a plan and all the pieces are falling into place; twelve days, three continents, four heists, and the ultimate score. But this is one plan she won’t be able to pull off alone…

Detective Lee Jordon’s days are numbered if he doesn’t crack the case. Fortunately, he’s discovered a clue everyone else has missed…two unidentified subjects that have been spotted at multiple crime scene. Two subjects; a boy and a girl…

Zack and Ivy are looking for answers. Where are their parents?   Why is Carmen Sandiego sending them cryptic clues and messages? What does she want of them? And what is V.I.L.E.? Using their meager resources and all their wits, the brother and sister duo start a globe-trotting adventure for the one person who has all the answers…

But first they have to catch her…

Okay, rant over. ^^

I’ve got lots of stuff I wanna finish before the weekend arrives, so let’s get to work! Have a great week everyone!

Heh, I'm not gonna talk about the state of cartoons these days or i'll be ranting too so i'll just say I would totally watch your version of Carmen Sandiego, it's way more faithful to the spirit of the games
