Weekly Update 12.26.17 (Patreon)

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! After weeks of mayhem we are officially moved in and the holiday rush is over! Thank you guys so much for your patience! I feel like I can finally get back to work! :)

Going through my messages I discovered that I missed out on a bit of drama here on Patreon: the additional fee they were going to charge patrons. Everyone probably knows all about this, is sick of hearing about it and wants to move on, but I did want to say something about it real quick.

That was bullshit! I’m the one that is profiting from this, I should be the one paying the fees, not you guys. Glad they got the message and didn’t go through with it. Been discussing it with a couple creators and patrons alike and we all agreed that our days on Patreon are likely numbered. They’ve thrown a couple curveballs this past year and this one would have been the final straw for a lot of people.

There’s another site called makersupport.com that I’ve heard great things about. It may be worth switching to in the future, or even having an account on each, but for now I’m gonna stick with Patreon (but I’m watching you Patreon! I’m watching you!).

Okay, plans for the rest of the week! Gonna knock out the next page of BLACK LABEL (hope to have it up early tomorrow). In fact, I’m pretty sure this whole week will be dedicated to BLACK LABEL. The current comic in the BLACK LABEL story (GAME NIGHT) has a small scripting issue that I need to resolve. While I’m figuring that out, I have a special comic starring Meg and Ellie that I want to post on Valentine’s Day, so if I’m gonna get it done, I need to start it now (I wanted to do it last year, but I didn’t plan ahead). I also have a short, 3 page comic that I want to do for DevArt. Haven’t posted anything there for a while. ^^;
