A huge thanks to you guys for covering the cost of Tracy Con this weekend!  Travel, meals, and registration were all covered, and a good thing too, because this con was pretty much a bust. I wasn’t aware until the first day that the full name of the convention was Tracy Comic Expo & Reptile Show. Yeah, that was a surprise that left everyone in the artist alley scratching their heads. It would have been what we call in the trade a “red flag”. Also, it was located in a strip mall (another “red flag).

The artist alley was sadly hidden away opposite the dealer’s room with little to no indication of its existence. Sooooo…not a lot of traffic. On the plus side, I met some cool people and got to hang out with a couple friends I haven’t seen for a while. Also, I got some drawing and writing done!

One convention left to go. The Scattered Comics Expo in Sacramento November 18th. A short, local, one day convention. I’m actually doing a panel at this one, so that’ll be interesting.

Commissions have gone live this morning all over the internet. You guys have already sent in some requests, but it’s only fair I give everyone else a shot too. I’ll start making my selections next week after I close commissions. Can’t wait to see what ideas are waiting for me!

Will be posting a new page of BLACK LABEL in a few minutes! Got the next 8 pages laid out too, so I’ve got lots to work on.

Have a great week everyone!

What a weird plan for a convention, glad it wasn't a total loss!
