Closing Hours : Closing Thoughts (Patreon)

Hello everyone! Just wanted to put in some closing thoughts as the comic just ended, talk about future plans n' stuff

Again i want to say thank you so much for the support with this silly comic. I really wanted to try and make a comic out of my own choice, as every other comic series i have posted online were just commissions, even if some of the first ones i worked on were still heavily scripted by me. So i'm very thankful that you all enjoyed my own direction! 

I wanna also thank my boyfriend Lettuce for helping out immensely on keeping my ambition in check, helping me tweak the comic's story and dialog, and giving feedback that made the comic so much better

Though i'll still say it was very much a learning experience, this is the first time i had no limitations, no direction, just my own desires, and as i mentioned before, i started very ambicious and realizing midway that is a lot smarter ways that i could have done everything. I have taken about 2 years to start and finish the comic because of it, even if i had stopped working at some point due to the burnout.

Luckily i found a very stable way to work on the comic daily while balancing it with the rest of my commission and Patreon work, i took it slow but also helped me progress steadily without being stressing out too hard

So what now?

I wanna make more comics, hone my skill a little, do more silly horny scenarios, mess around with my characters more. Doing these contained stories are fun, i dont think i'd be able to do a never ending story anyway, and by doing different stories and series, it's a good way to have fun with different characters and dynamics.

In fact, i already started doing work on a new comic! But i'm going to wait until Closing Hours goes completely public, and also wait for some other major events in my life that will be happening on the next couple of months, it'll help me create a backlog that gives me some breathing room to work on comfortably on new pages. I will be announcing soon enough about it!

And about future comics too, things i will keep in mind and be transparent about:

I'll scale down the ammount of pages a little, as much as i like slow burn teasing which leads to fun interactions, it also becomes kind of overwhelming to work with

Limit shading because good god these comics absolutely dont require full rendering work, not only it is time consuming but Paint Tool SAI starts chugging like hell at some point lmao

Already worked on this thanks to my boyfriend's help, but we made a custom font with my hand writing for future comics to help save time not needing to hand write everything, so, yay!

Page posting frequency might go from 2 pages a week to just 1 as the comics will be shorter and giving me better time to work on them
