Commission: Penny Shane to Golden Girl! (Patreon)

Here's another completed commission, sponsored by Patron Agent00Soul.  Golden Girl is one of scores of abandoned superheroes created during the comics boom of the golden age, only to be abandoned as companies shuttered or moved on, ultimately entering the public domain.  She's a spinoff of another forgotten hero called Golden Lad.  Penny Shane is a classmate of his alter ego that finds a piece of the magical "Aztec Relic" that transforms him into his super identity.  When she accidentally utters the (kind of obvious) phrase that activates the shard, she's transformed in a flash of light into Golden Girl!  Sadly, the book was cancelled after her first appearance, and Golden Girl never really got her chance to shine, at least until now.  Agent00Soul asked me to elaborate on the transformation, which orignally happens during one panel where a flash completely obscures the process.   Given my penchant for retro style heroines, this was fun to do!
