Meanwhile, Renee growled as the cords holding her fairy wings on dug deeper and deeper into her shoulders.  She clawed at the collar of her costume, finally grabbing hold of the ribbon tying it on.  She pulled violently on it, throwing her head back in an angry snarl as she tore it off.  This motion also shook her tiara off the top of her head, and the same time her star earrings popped loose from her growing ears.  Finally one, and then the other of the cords snapped, relieving some of the pressure.
