So how's your month been?  Mine's been... not so good.

I mean, could be worse.  Neither I nor anyone I'm close to has gotten Covid yet, despite living squarely in an "anti-mask" area.    But as I mentioned before, work is really out of control this month due to restrictions related to the pandemic.  Our workplace is relying totally on shipping to get our product out, and out staff is stretched thin due to restrictions put in place.  The days have been long and exhausting, and starting tomorrow, I'm not expecting another day off until August 29th at the earliest, with several 12 hour days in the mix.  I ain't as young as I was in my days at Borders-- that takes a lot out of me!

Adding to the issue is that clip studio paint, which I use for a lot of my finished work, has been buggy on my ipad over the last tow months.  It's been closing unexpectedly, causing me to lose work.  And then, more recently, the files that were open when the program would shut down would lock and I couldn't reopen them.  The NewJenny and Mercury Rising pieces I posted today fell victim to this, as well as one of the Julie Pinups I posted earlier.  It's made it very hard to be motivated to work on things, knowing they might be lost.  Both Julie and Jenny had large parts that had to be redone.

Fortunately, the latest IOS update seems to have fixed my technical issue, unlocking these locked files (so I was able to complete Mercury without redoing anything).   So that's something.  Still, with my schedule the coming weeks I can't guarantee regular updates will resume any time soon.  I do expect September to be better.

Thank you for your patience as I work through this rough patch.  In the meantime, there's still time to submit entries for the next Fan Art Freebie --leave your suggestions in the comments for last month's winner, here!

Take care,

SAS
