Process: KLF A (Patreon)

I realized I have been remiss on the process pics for my color work lately. Here’s the first frame of KLF 19. Above—pose sketch on Autodesk Sketchbook Pro.

Normally at this point I would export this to Clip Studio Paint for inking and coloring, but this time I tried rendering the hair with the pencil tool in Sketchbook first.

Now the inks in Clip Studio Paint. I used a dark warm gray instead of black to get a softer edge.

Effects such as highlights and lenses. Also darkened the edges of the hair with Clip Studio Paint’s pencil tool.
