Here it is!  A remake of a sequence that I sketched back in 1999--now with full color and dialogue!  The remade pages will be made available to all subscribers, with some bonus pages for $5 and up patrons, and an exclusive image for the $10 patrons, who have also been getting behind the scenes progress updates on this sequences as well.

Way back in 1999 Anime and Manga was taking the U.S.A. by storm and I was caught up in it too.  This character's design was initially inspired by a fighting game in the foyer of my local Walmart.  I don't know which game it was or how it wound up there because all the text was Japanese.  But a character I played was wearing an outifit much like the one in the sketch above.  At the time I mistook it for some kind of schoolgirl outfit as I wasn't yet aware of the genre's fascination with maid costumes.  By the time I started the reboot I knew better and amped up the detail with more lace detailing, ruffles, and a headpiece.  When I went to add color, I decided to make her more unique by making her dress pink as opposed to the blue of the original.  To further distinguish her from the original I added some big round anime glasses to ramp up that mild mannered look.  I'm pretty happy with it.

This was originally supposed to be just a visual sequence--the dialogue was a last minute decision, but I hope it enhances the spectacle a little.

Let me know what you think!
