Hello, my fine and dear patrons! First, a happy xmas and a merry new year, since we're in that seasonal period. I've weathered most of the family holidays, and hope you have, too.

We've also weathered the Patreon-billing-modification-episode (well, I didn't do a thing, and neither did most of you, which makes us all happy campers).

Some folks have also weathered floods, others have weathered heavy snows, and I weathered some atrocious jet-lag. Lots and lots of weathering.

Which is why, I'm sure you'll all be happy as punch to hear that the last update of the year is nearly ready. The art is done, the layout is nearly done, some words are getting polished ... and I'm sure you'll extend a little round of applause to the new members of our expedition.

---///--- also, the competition ---///---

But there is one thing I'll ask of you: share the silliest PC retirement or death you've yet experienced in your gaming years or weeks (new gamers welcome, too), and I'll immortalize one random PC (determined, of course, by random dice) with an ineffable monument in the great memory-littered UVG.

An illusive man guarded passage and offered doom. Ostens put away his marksman's rifle to shake hands with the false, grinning bridgedemon. Happily indebted, he left his leathers with his soul, bathing in river whose bottom was skulls. His trade for bridge passage earned him no exception from the will of the river, so his celebration bereaved him of his laurels and limbs.
