Patient Patrons! Our caravan stumbles and jumbles off, deeper into the UV grasslands, crossing the first obstacles on our trading journeys. Odd sights, rare nomads, and the very palatable traditionalists of the Porcelain Throne await.

... choo, choo, kachoo!

What's new: Pages 10–15 have been added. Slightly more than I planned, but there you have it. It had to be done.

Also: Crappy encounter rules that still need polishing are now included in the appendix.

What's not new: I still hate the way InDesign is wont to crash when asked to output a nice .pdf

My sympathies for your issues with InDesign, but this latest installment is really great. I can't decide if it would be more fun to run this, or to play it.

Hopefully both :). Once I finish this first expedition, I'm going to make an open call for play-testers to do both, then based on that feedback, I'm planning to work it over for detail, drag in an editor and see the UVG published. Some of the side "lists" should really get whole pages for them, like the equipment tables, dead bodies, weather generator, and of course the caravan sheet for trading later on. I'm also still a bit on the fence about how to handle trade goods that can be purchased at each stop to haul back for profit. Whenever I design rules, I generally swing into "too much detail" then backpedal as far as possible, and then somebody comes up to me and says, "I can't read your notation. Why does your monster only have one stat?" whereupon I say "oops."
