To summarize the silliness: Apple has decided that it wants a 30% slice of Patreon membership subscriptions in exchange for nothing at all, and Patreon has (unfortunately but understandably) decided to comply with the extortion.

So starting in November, no payments can be made to support Healslut if you are using the IOS app to manage your membership (I have opted out of immediately bending the knee). Later, in November of 2025, all Patreon memberships will be switched to the subscription model automatically (there is no opt-out). Anyone using the IOS app beyond November 2025 will have to pay the extra 30% to Apple for the privilege.

Normally I am more than happy to absorb any extraneous fines or fees into the cost of doing business, but I won't pay Apple for this nonsense (and you shouldn't either).
