You'll pay the toll one way or another

Hello all! Yllmourne 05 will be our final release for Yllmourne before we unveil the the Definitive Edition in a month or so. We're excited for this final release to tie up a number of loose threads. Let's take a look!

Borough Guide

This guide is all about the barrier islands in the Dreglian Channel, particularly Hilbre Isle. This island is home to the villain Sefton Bane and her ecclectic companions. Many Yllmourne quest arcs will culminate in a final confrontation with Sefton and her gang, and this doc gives you everything you need to run complex boss encounters on the infamous isle. Just who is Sefton? An eldritch abomination? A pirate captain? Or a connivicing politician? It's up to you to decide!

Maps

This map is wholly separate from the rest of Yllmourne, as Hilbre Isle sits beyond the inner bay of the city, surrounded by miles of water. This is a wild island, defensible fortress, and seedy tavern all in one. As always, we have some stunning variants for this map: misty, rainy, summer, winter, low-tide, and Shadowfell.

Patrons at the Chief Courier tier and up also gain access to interior maps for Sefton's tavern Seafarers' Rest. This inn complex has a secret passage, a taproom, Sefton's chambers, and a number of heavy weapons. If your quest ends with a climactic battle against Sefton, you're going to want to use these interios!

Music

Your players are going to want to kill Sefton Bane, so put on our combat track "Kill Sefton" for the final battle. This crunchy combat track is perfect for epic duels with the hulking butcher. If you'd rather whip out something more daunting and atmospheric, our "Creepy" variant might work wonders. Throw that on while your players are sneaking through Sefton's lair!

Sogmonnath's Prison - Collaboration with Mark Drummond J

Throughout our borough guides, there are a number of reference to the great demon beneath Soggy Mountain. We figured those of you running dark fantasy campaigns would want to lean into this eldritch horror plot point. As such, we teamed up with one of the most innovative RPG mapmakers out there to create Sogmonnath's Prison. This map is perfect for creepy boss battle deep below the earth, whether your players are trying to free the demon or kill those who plan to unleash him on the world.

Mark Drummond J makes insanely cool maps using 3d software. Honestly: his work looks unlike anything else you'll find on Patreon. Go support Mark on Patreon for access to dozens of stunning environments, each of which could be the inspiration you need for your next great encounter!

This is perfect for an adventure I'm running tomorrow! Blargh, wish the Foundry files were ready, but I can do it myself if I have to!

Any chance for a version that omits the cannons? I'd love to use this map in my (traditional high fantasy) campaign!
