While I do have 2e, and did play it a fair bit, I still just used my original MMs. My girlfriend had the MC, but I don't think it ever got used for anything, except perhaps as a doorstop. But then we started playing RQ and GURPS a lot more and never played Dark Sun, or Ravenloft (except for the AD&D module) or Spelljammer, or 3e. So I'm up for any of those supplements, especially if they expand the settings in interesting ways.

Honestly, I think a lot of people might agree with you. The specials are the most challenging part of the podcast to create, but I think people like the variety!

I guess, not having much feeling for the mechanics, I don't know how much *difference* there really is in a monster statblock between editions. I know a lot of things on the player side were different, but to my uneducated eye it looks like you could just use the MM with 2e and it would mostly work OK, though not perfectly.
