'Homunculus' is the noun, while 'homunculous' is clearly the adjectival form, I.e., having the quality of an homunculus. 😁

And yes, I can confirm that the Hook Horror miniature pre-dates the Fiend Folio, but not necessarily the Fiend Factory entry in White Dwarf. GW lost the rights to produce Fiend Factory figures when TSR published the Fiend Folio. Here's a link; http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Image:Citadel-FF-3-1.jpg I saw this in Tin Soldier Games at Crows Nest in Sydney in l979-80, and as you can see, it's a massive hunk of lead and not exactly well-proportioned.
