It's uncanny because for the villagers, the skeletons are their relatives. PC's never meet their own skeletal relies. But I very much like the Ocean's Thirteen scenario, but only if we get to play the witch and her cronies.

I did consider that James story -- I once ran a CoC scenario based on it -- but the image in the FF makes me think it's more of a conventional Halloween ghostie.
