Very much enjoying the Mega Monster Dumb Man mash up. The Myconids reminded me very much of the grey caps from Jeff Vandermeer's Ambergris stories.

I haven't read a lot of Vandermeer; just a few short stories and the Thackery Lambshead etc., etc. When I think of myconids, I always think of the mushroom-infected humans in the old Return to Dunwich book for CoC, which gave me the whimwhams as a kid.
