Great episode as usual. For one of the first times, I think that you missed a little content. In simplifying the warforged into robots for most of your discussion, you missed some of the cultural elements that led to Data, like the synthezoid the Vision who I would argue is a close fit for Warforged. Built for war (against the Avengers), his 70's drama was finding out what his self- chosen role would be. Arguably, Red Tornado in DC did something similar despite being a more conventional robot. As Eberron picked up a more modern and possibly action-hero movie style mileau, those characters fit pretty naturally. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XsLURyJDO7M/Uyi_40mTOEI/AAAAAAAAD2k/7W5ROWcLi8s/s1600/Avengers+58+px20.JPG

Yes, I should have thought of the Vision! He's a pretty good comparison -- down to the point of having a human consciousness (I haven't read a lot of modern Vision, but originally he was made with Wonder Man's brain patterns, I know that much). I will grudgingly concede Red Tornado. I am not a Red Tornado fan.
