We're taking a break from the run of Monster Manual II creatures to do some interviews (they're both this week, not for any reason except that the schedule just worked out that way). In this episode, Tom McGrenery of Porcupine Publishing joins us to talk about the King and Queen Beasts, creatures from Brazilian folklore, and the challenges of adapting something outside the usual D&D field!

I met Chris Kastenschmidt at Worldcon in San Antonio a few months back--I moderated his academic presentation on monsters in Brazilian mythology! The next year, we shared a hotel room to save money at the London Worldcon. Really nice guy, and I highly recommend the Elephant & Macaw Banner novellas. Just backed the Kickstarter!
