We close out the week with a species of bug people and yet another set of tiny nuisance folk who live in the sylvan glades of wherever.

In this episode, you mentioned your preference for monsters such as the Annis to be an update for their group (and thus Hag, Black Annis or whatever) instead of entirely new entries, but noted how that is difficult with already-published books. This, of course, is the reason that the monster book for AD&D 2nd Edition, the Monstrous Compendium, is a binder that you insert your hole-punched monster sheets into. Of course, the Monstrous Compendium had all sorts of problems on its own, and was probably a failed experiment. The monster pages would always get ripped where they were hole punched, not all monsters needed a full page front and back (and thus, things got out of alphabetical order very quickly), and who wanted to carry around a 3.5" binder everywhere?

Yes, I was thinking about that the other day -- DC Comics attempted to do the same thing with Who's Who, but I think they only ever published one or two updates for it!
