James, I enjoyed the elements and details in regards to your discussion on the artisan and craftsmen, especially issues with mystical and/or the supernatural content. Also, we can all contextually regard the universe and society that a particular pantheon represents, and understand what the society holds important or pertinent to the lives of the people within a given culture. The safety of farm animals, getting wares to market, or weather regarding crops were life threatening or earth shattering , as well as the importance of finding a husband or wife by 15 or 16 years of age. These are all great clues as to how you may or may not want to use elements and deities in a campaign.
