As a heads up (no spoilers), this arc probably is the biggest example of Kubo using characters that canonically have no idea what the fuck is going on in the grand scheme of things to explain how powers and the world works. A lot of the Fullbring exposition/explanations are pretty biased and very tied to the person's personality and worldview, so take characters' explanations in the training with a grain of salt - they aren't being used to deliver raw exposition even when it seems like they are, they only know as much as they "should". So for example it's not exactly /wrong/, but Riruka's definitely being a bit of a tweaker saying the whole thing is drawn from "love", which doesn't fully line up with Chad's "pride" explanation, or Ginjo's own explanation about drawing the soul out of objects. That's the way they've each come to interpret these powers and what's going on with Ichigo, but there's no omniscient truth being spit here.
