I meant to post this earlier today but I got distracted when I realized the new LOTR show was out 😅

I usually don’t comment cause english isn’t my first language so I don’t wanna look dumb. But I need to say now, don’t ever apologize for speaking about your feelings and your health. You are only human and telling somebody how you feel can help alot sometimes. I also got my ADHD diagnosis as an adult so I wanna say I am super proud of how far you have come with that struggle and for speaking about it, it’s not easy. You are doing great Rum 🥰🥹

I'm so proud of you, Rum, I truly am! Take as much time as you need, take care of yourself, prioritize yourself, and never fear, I'll be here waiting for you, we'll all be here waiting for you. Your health and your well-being are very important, so, sweetie, it's time for YOU, it's YOUR TIME NOW. Be safe, be good, be amazing (you know you are). Trillions of tight hugs and heart-felted kisses from Portugal 🥰

What you said about being told you were just lazy growing up really resonates with me. I’m so glad you’re on the path to diagnosis & finding answers 🥺 and I appreciate you sharing this stuff with us. Take care <3 And I hope you enjoy Rings of Power! I haven’t finished ep 2 yet because I got sick yesterday but I’ve been enjoying it so far. I think they did a good job making it deep but also streamlining it for everyone, book-readers or not.

2023-03-10 21:16:58 Hi Rum. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤️ I really empathize with this update as I’ve recently gone through my own ADHD journey this past month (diagnosed at age 33 lol). I’ve struggled with anxiety for so many years…and I’ve come to find out that my anxiety is a result of my adhd symptoms (not thinking I’m good enough or that I’m lazy). I find it super validating that struggles I’ve had my entire life…distraction, clumsiness, inattention, daydreaming, procrastination…is all because of a chemical imbalance…and not just some inherent, flawed personality type. I hope you find some peace with the diagnosis, and hope you find the right meds/dosage to help with that pesky executive dysfunction (because same tbh lol). 😜 for me, reading common experiences helps…I really like reading Jesse J Anderson on Twitter https://twitter.com/jessejanderson?s=21&t=Mz1r-DRupRQ2ZZnFL0B0UA and watching How to ADHD on YouTube https://youtube.com/c/HowtoADHD Anyways, hope you don’t mind me just word vomiting all that haha! 😅 Please take care of yourself! 💕 Glad you’re setting boundaries for yourself with the new schedule. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Thanks for making us feel good.~ 🥰❤️

hey man, first off, thanks so much for being able to share all these things with us in the first place! so glad you were able to get a diagnosis, it’s the best feeling in the world getting that kind of reassurance :,) thank you always for updating us, you always go above and beyond, and really, take your time and don’t feel bad about taking care of yourself! your storytelling vids help me fall asleep so your asmr vids seem exciting!

Thank you so much!! It's honestly been so nice and comforting to see that I am not alone in dealing with ADHD later in life. It's hard but also feels freeing to get some answers to things I have struggled with for a long time. And I will have to look for some possible bedtime stories to read!

rumncokeva

Aww thank you!! That is so sweet, I really appreciate it. I am trying my best and I know I need to be more forgiving with myself sometimes. And your English is great btw!! I wouldn't have even guessed it wasn't your first language

rumncokeva

Thanks Ana 💕 It really makes me so happy that so many of you are always so patient and understanding with me. It means a lot to me

Ahhh yeah it is definitely something I think I have internalized from hearing it from others. I hope you are able to work through any similar things in your own way as well 🥰 I actually really liked it!! I agree, they have done a pretty good job of making it accessible imo. If I wanted to get really nitpicky I feel like there were some things mentioned in passing or only briefly explained that might be confusing to more casual viewers (like the trees of valinor, or Celebrimbor talking about Feanor making the silmarils). But I don't think there's any way around that with Tolkien lol. I am honestly just really excited to watch the next episode so I think that says a lot!

rumncokeva

Thank you so much for those recommendations!! I will definitely check them out. And yeah I relate to so much of that. I think I had also internalized a lot of those things and knowing that there are real medical reasons behind everything I've struggled with is comforting in a way. Glad you were able to get diagnosed as well!! and I wish you the best of luck on your journey with it too 🥰

Of course! I think I struggle with talking about some of this stuff at times but it feels good to talk about it. It might be a while before I get started on Youtube but I'm glad to know some of you guys are excited for it! I'll keep making the story time audios for you guys in the meantime though 😊
