There are multiple ways to approach the inking process..._____________________✍

People with a background in traditional media usually recommend working from top to bottom or left to right (depending on your dominant hand). This is helpful so you don't smudge or smear your drawing with ink or pencil residue.

In digital media this advice is completely unnecessary but still having a work plan is important to get a nice line work.

Most people recommend starting with the face, then the hair, and finally working your way down to the rest of the details.

I personally also recommend starting with the face as getting a beautiful face will make or break your drawing.

Spend as much time as possible getting a pretty face in the sketching process and polish it even further with your inking.

After being done with the head is when things get difficult and interesting...😵💫

My big advice here is "go for the most problematic areas first"...!

If yo have trouble drawing hands, feet or other complex details it is better to attack them first while you still have energy. Going through the easy parts first will drain you of patience. Focus on getting the weak points of your job right first.

However, don't stress too much about the details either. If a specific part is giving you too much trouble it's ok to jump to other easier areas to rest for a while.

Finally, just try to have fun... 🖌😎

If a specific part of the drawing catches your attention  jump straight to it. If you can see the lines clearly in your mind this will do for the best results...👍✨
