To be perfectly honest, as big and powerful as Aerodactyl was, using him in an actual serious battle, would have usually been a horrible move.

Especially this one in particular.

Out of the three long range attacks Aerodactyl has, one is horrible against dragon types, another takes up a lot of energy to use and would typically tire a normal pokemon out and the third while super effective against flying types, wasn't going to do much as an opening move.

On top of that, Aerodactyl has no head for strategy and I've not trained with him at all in battle as a pokemon of mine, only them him see the scope of what my other pokemon were capable of in a mock battle.

But, Aerodactyl's biggest fault, was also perhaps his biggest saving grace here. He was a bully that loved to lord his strength over others.

That meant his go to, was always the strongest attacks he could muster to show off his dominance, because he is a dumbass like that.

And it had shown during the time he was getting his ass kicked by the rest of my pokemon earlier.

And the simple fact of the matter was-

That those attacks, did not tire him out as much as they would the standard pokemon, because he'd used them so much.

"Giga Impact!" I ordered.

I may as well put Aerodactyl's love of bullying to my advantage and start off big and flashy.

"Aero!" Aerodactyl howled happily and with a flap off his massive wings, ascended into the air and spun, an aura of blazing purple exploding into existence around him, and then sparking golden energy wrapping around the aura.

And an instant later, with the look of a warhead of pure energy, Aerodactyl changed directions and rapidly shot towards Lance's Dragonite. His sheer size and power making it so he cleared the distance in a few blinks of the eye.

Aerodactyl slammed into Dragonite like a raging meteor that thundered through the air and shook the very earth.

And Dragonite was pushed back about half a metre.

Arms held up in the air, Dragonite had outright caught Aerodactyl clad in the powerful energy of Giga Impact and stopped him in his tracks.

'Insane.' I thought. None of my pokemon could currently even hope to exert such monstrous physical strength.

Not yet.

But totally within my calculations.

The energy around Aerodactyl puttered out almost instantly, and his wide eyed shocked face came into view.

"Hyper Beam!" I didn't order, I demanded of him.

Because one other thing I had learned about Aerodactyl in the scant few hours we've been together since I captured him. Is that he didn't know when to quit when he was ahead.

He was an idiot like that. But even idiocy had its uses.

Aerodactyl's huge jaws snapped open, a huge swirling crackling sphere of pitch black powerful swirling into existence, before promptly being unleashed at point blank range in a wide black beam of devastating power.

A thunderous boom enveloped Dragonite who's arms were pre-occupied with holding Aerodactyl in place as the beam washed over it and drowned out much of the sound, even that of screams and shouts of excitement coming from the spectators.

The hands holding Aerodactyl in place were dislodged with the attack and he happily turned and flew his way over to me and landed in front of me, looking down with a proud preening smug look.

"Not bad," I complimented him, "But if you think it's over from just that, you've learned nothing at all from the beating the others gave you earlier."

And the crowd went wild.

Literally.

And as if to prove my point, the smoke that had obscured Dragonite faded away to reveal Dragonite completely fine and no worse for wear at all, the only sign of Aerodactyl's attack at all, being the huge crater it was standing within.

Aerodactyl's head whipped over his shoulder to stare wide eyed, and a creeping sense horror made its way back into his gaze.

"Not too shabby at all," Lance noted loudly, arms crossed and with an approving nod, "Aerodactyl or not, I wasn't expecting it to be capable of using Giga Impact and then Hyper Beam of all things in quick succession, it has quite the power and stamina already, most gym leader pokemon would be hard pressed to stay standing after an onslaught like that."

My thoughts exactly.

The fact that his Dragonite wasn't even scratched by that though, went to show just how monstrous the gap between a champion and a gym leader was though.

A bit daunting, but I gotta admit, pleasing as well. If a champion was capable of being brought down by something as simple as that, I would have been severely disappointed.

"Now, let's return the favour, eh Dragonite?" Lance grinned at his Dragonite who merely flashed him a thumbs up without turning around.

"Ancient Power, then flamethrower them and set them alight," I decided to nip that in the bud, "Then rush him with Bite, you're bigger, use your weight to your advantage, try and grab it by the neck and slam it into the ground."

Aerodactyl shook his head at my order and his eyes once more lit up with the desire to do harm.

"Aero!" he whirled around massive wings spreading wide, his body lighting up with silver power that then erupted into the form of multiple shining silver spheres that were sent shooting towards Dragonite like bullets, at the same time flames licked within his maw and he spat out a gout of flame that he swept over the silvery rock bullets, lighting them up with blazing embers and turning them into roasting comets of rock and fire power.

"Hurricane." Lance countered simply.

"Droo!" the Dragonite nodded and stepped forward towards the roaring blazing comets of power shooting towards it, leg muscles tensing powerfuly and its head lowering as if facing an incoming storm and then its small, yet incredibly powerful wings began to rapidly beat so fast it sounded like some was smashing a building with a wrecking bell.

An instant later, a massive vertical hurricane of gale force winds tore across the battlefield, sweeping over the combination of Ancient Power and Flamethrower, before slamming into Aerodactyl before he could react.

"AERO!" I heard him roar from within the hurricane winds and saw his wings burst out from the sides of it as he tried to fight his way through.

"Giga Impact, get out of there!" I hurried shouted as loud as I could, in hope he could hear me over the raging gales.

To my relief, purple and gold sparked around the wings jutting out of the Hurricane winds-

Only for Dragonite to jerk and spin to the side as it beat its wings and the huge hurricane swerved, twisting up into the air carrying Aerodactyl all the way, before twisting directions once more and shooting down towards the ground.

Carried by the huge hurricane, Aerodactyl was slammed and ground into the ground of the battlefield with so much force the battlefield cratered inwards for a good thirty feet in diameter and spider web crack spread across the entire field.

Dragonite stopped beatings its wings after a few moments of the hurricane winds grinding Aerodactyl into the ground and the huge powerful winds dispersed to reveal my newly captured Aerodactyl, face down in the dirt and completely out cold.

And the crowd went wild.

Literally.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance and held Aerodactyl's pokeball up, returning him to it. I expected this result to be honest, it's still kind of annoying though to see one of my pokemon go down so easily, even a new one.

Not a single one of my pokemon had ever went down as easy as that, and while Aerodactyl had been thrown around a lot earlier, he was in no way weak. He was still stronger than my Dragonite after all by a decent margin, he'd already proved as much.

Should I say, as expected of a champion?

Well, whatever, I didn't let my annoying show on my face, "So you can control and change the direction of Hurricane, huh? That's interesting to know." I instead said aloud, ignoring the reporters cheering loudly at Lance trouncing me in the opening of the battle, and focused on that.

It definitely was, and I'd be keeping that in mind for when I got around to teaching it to Pidgeot.

"A little something we worked out a while ago, it was tough, but nothing's impossible if you put in enough effort," Lance replied, grinning widely, "The attempt with using Giga Impact to muscle out of it was inspired though. If brute force isn't working, then you're just not using enough, huh? That's a favourite of mine too I do have to admit."

Yeah, just punch the hurricane, that'll totally work.

The sad thing is, in this world, if you got strong enough, that was actually a viable option. Limits and impossibilities were for quitters. As the tiny Pikachu that could make hundreds of feet or more wide craters with a swing of its tiny tail could attest.

And in the spirit of that-

I switched Aerodactyl's pokeball with Dragonite's.

"You're up next try hard." I said as I released him from within the pokeball.

Dragonite appeared in front of me within a burst of light and cracked out his neck, promptly mean mugging his opponent without a second hesitation, even though it was a Dragonite that had multiple feet in size on him and half again his bulk.

"Oh-ho, the Dragonite from the video!" Lance's eyes lit up excitedly, "And you've already got to the point where you're confident sending him out into battle within just a few days after the attitude he displayed?"

Dragonite, my Dragonite merely scoffed at the champions excitement to see him and promptly stuck up his middle claw and flipped the other bigger Dragonite the bird.

The bigger Dragonite gave him a nonplussed look, completely unimpressed by his attitude, where as Lance burst into laughter, "Quite the personality indeed, I've never seen a Dragonite like this one, it's quite novel." he said, "Will I be seeing the other you apparently captured as well during this battle I wonder?"

"That'd be kinda hard considering I don't have that one anymore," I shrugged in reply, "He's already with another trainer at this point."

Lance blinked, "You…traded a Dragonite? One that by the records I seen of it briefly was quite the specimen of the species and very powerful, more powerful than this one at least and had a very extensive range of attacks," he blinked, "Wow, they must have offered quite the option in return."

I smirked, "Nah, I gave her it for free, got nothing in return for it." I promptly replied.

"Eh…?" I relished in the utter shocked look that appeared on Lance's face at my reply.

Mwuahahahaha, not even champions are immune to my shenanigans.

"You gave…a Dragonite away for free? To her?" Lance goggled at him, repeating his words, "A girl, a girlfriend then? Fiance even? Starting young I see, but don't you think that might have been a mistake? A standard Dragonite, if such a thing can even be said, is generally purchased in the range of between five and ten million pokedollars, one such as that, going by its size and move pool, I'd estimate would get at least twenty five million, and you just gave it away to a girl?"

"Lover is more apt I'd say, but I'm still a free guy right now," I shrugged in reply, "Besides, it's a girl I care about, and wanted to make sure she'd have a strong pokemon looking out for her in case anything happened while we were apart. Twenty five million is hardly anything in comparison to that."

The best of it is, I'm not even lying.

I noticed a rippling murmur going through the crowd of reports as they took in my words. And a thought occurred to me, this will probably go viral. Which means, Hilda will probably see this.

Heh, hope she gets embarrassed.

"Twenty five…million!?" I heard the girl, Chloe sputter loudly in shock, "A pokemon can go for that much? And he just gave it away to a girl he likes? Not even a girlfriend?"

"It's so romantic, don't you think Chloe?" Delia tittered.

"…Yeah, seems about right for this kid." Surge snorted, shaking his head, "He's crazy."

"A remarkably mature point, I suppose I understand," Lance chuckled, "Still that other Dragonite is much stronger than this one you have now, wouldn't you have been better keeping it and sending this one to watch over her?"

It wasn't me who replied.

It was Dragonite.

An outraged howling roar tore from his throat as he snarled threateningly at Lance for daring to insulting his strength.

"She wouldn't have been able to handle this guys attitude," I shrugged with a smirk and crossed my arms, mirroring him, "Besides, you said it yourself with enough effort nothing is impossible. And stronger or not, I think this guy has got what it takes to go way higher than the other one I caught, he's just that much hungrier for it. Not to mention, me and this guy? We click way better and he takes to my training way better than that other Dragonite would."

"Hmm…" Lance cocked his head to the side and hummed as he examined the snarling Dragonite, who despite his rage at being belittled, had not moved to attack without my directions, "Well, you've got me there. Now you've got me excited though to see what you're capable of together."

"Well, keep your eyes peeled then." I replied.

__________

"You must be an incredible lay." Rosa commented.

"…Shut the hell up." Hilda, cheeks burning retorted, her face buried in her hands as the idiot revealed their….relationship on live world wide television.

Did he have no sense of shame at all? Or common sense? He was just gonna have people curious about who she was as well now and they would dig into his trainer records and there would be a link from his to hers because of Dragonite previously belonging to him.

"Though, he said it out loud as well, you're not official, you really shoulda put a ring on that cuz," Rosa hummed, "Once we're done here, I'm totally gonna rock that kids world, put a ring on him, make him my shota boytoy husband and get an Aerodactyl baby from him and a Dratini as well, I kinda dig that Dragonite's attitude too actually."

Hilda's head whipped up, embarrassment replaced by a glare, "Like hell you are slut." she growled, and pushed the half naked girl off of the chair she was sitting on.

Rosa fell to the ground with a yelp.
