What…in the actual fuck am I looking at here?

My level two stats are crazy as all hell, crazier than I expected granted, but I was still expecting them to be pretty crazy after what I went through earlier.

The new skill is a pleasant surprise, though I'm not really sure what it does going by that description alone.

And I've already mentally internalized the new abilities I got from the monster magic stones I ate earlier.

They're all good to be honest, but the top three out of those five I got are definitely Commander, Iron Skin and Hard Scale in that order. Commander, allowed me to mentally converse with anyone connected to me by blood, from any distance.

Usually that would be pretty useless, since I have no family in this world. But, the falna on my back. It comes from Hestia's ichor. As long as her falna is on my back, I can speak to her mentally from anywhere in the world.

And I think I should be able to do the same with anyone who is also part of the Hestia familia.

That is amazing, beyond amazing even. With so many uses to explore and great for directing a familia from afar.

Iron Skin spoke for itself.

Where as Hard Scale, allowed me to create the durable, yet flexible scales that Hard Armour's had and I could totally make an armour or something from it. Not as durable as my Crystal Armour.

…But if I used them right, I could probably use both together to create a much better armour.

But no, beyond all that, the crazy thing is my choices for Development Ability. Ten in total, and some I'd hoped to get in the future, but wasn't sure how I ever would.

Like Mystery. I've no idea how I got it, beyond the possibility of it being because of the huge variety of abilities I have thanks to Typhon.

Blacksmith and Metalworking are a total surprise as well, but I think I got them because of me constantly making armour with my skill? Technically, I was forging the armour each and every time I made it with my magic power, just in a completely different way than usual.

'If I took Blacksmith, my armour would probably be way stronger, and if I took Metalworking, I'd probably have way more control over how I shape it.' I mused to myself.

That was almost as tempting as the crazy stuff I could do with Mystery. Which was my first out of the list.

Or it would be if not for one skill.

Hunter.

I can get every other ability on the last again any time I level up, but from what I've learned…I can only get Hunter at level two.

'Which means if I don't pick it now I never can.' I bit my lip. Sure, it wasn't as all that powerful or rare as Mystery. But, it would synergize so well with my Typhon skill.

And on top of that…one day I plan on killing the One Eyed Black Dragon. With each type of dragon monster I killed, and there was quite a few variants, I would be able to dish out more damage towards it through Hunter, especially the more it ranked up.

If I raised it high enough, when I faced the One Eyed Black Dragon one day in the far future, I could deal multiple times the power I usually would against it than I usually would.

It was a skill that would show its true worth far in the future as opposed to immediately.

'But if I take Mystery, I can get around to creating stuff like Grimoire's and enchanted weapons and shit.' I argued with myself internally.

Really good grimoire's could go for multiple hundred million valis!

I mean I could pick it at level three, and if I moved at even a third of the speed I did to level up again as I did to reach where I am now, it would only be like a month and a half before I got it.

But that was a month and a half where I could be raking in the cash even faster. I want a mansion damn it! One with a big ass swimming pool so I can get Hestia in a skimpy bikini!

And Lili too actually!

I sighed, flopping my head back onto the pillow and holding the sheet of paper up above my head, "….I honestly don't know, I want them all." I admitted in defeat. The artisan skills and Hunter more than the others for sure, even if Strong Defence and Magic Resistance would basically double up on some abilities I already have making me even beefier.

"Heh." Hestia snorted.

I blinked, "…What?"

She shrugged, "Just amusing for once to see you not know what to do, you're usually so gung ho about this kind of thing and talking big, it's so cute to see you like this."

I felt my cheeks warm up a bit and determinedly stared up at the sheet of paper and didn't look at her.

"If it makes you feel better, I think you can pick two," Hestia hummed and I froze, "That new skill of yours stores up all your excess excelia and you've got a lot of it and can be used for developing…well development abilities. If you get enough excelia, you can probably pick more of them without ever levelling up."

"Wait…seriously!?" my head whipped around to stare at her in shock.

Hestia proceeded to pat me on the cheek and smile warmly, "Seriously serious," she replied and pecked me on the lips, "Does that help at all."

"It seriously does," a massive grin spread across my face, because wow, yeah, this new skill of mine? Amazing! "Then I know what I want, Hunter and Mystery."

"Yeah…I wasn't sure really, but those were my best guesses, hunter would be really good for you after all, especially because of how it works," Hestia nodded and said, "You get excelia from eating magic stones. So you can buy stones from any monster at the guild and then get a boost from hunter against them by eating their magic stone without ever having fought them before."

My thoughts exactly. Hunter synergizes so well with Typhon it's unreal.

"Alright, wanna do it now then?" Hestia asked.

"Let's go for it!" I laughed, letting go of the sheet of paper in my hand and reaching over go grasp the tiny voluptuous goddess by her full hips and bodily lift her up and deposit her atop me.

She gave a giggling yelp and lay down against me, her large, soft breasts squishing against my chest, "You have to get on your back." she giggled, nudging her nose against mine before kissing me.

"I prefer you on yours." I said once she pulled back with a grin, reaching down to cup her full backside and give it a quick double squeeze.

"Naughty, but I kinda like you on yours," Hestia sat up with a grin and wiggled her butt against my grip and crotch, then her deep pretty blue eyes glinted with mischief, "Besides I thought you wanted me on all fours so you could pull on my hair."

"We're definitely doing that." I had to resist the urge to growl and throw her off me and mount her like a beast.

"Anything you want," she outright purred, hands trailing gently over my chest, "Maybe you want me in that cheerleader outfit?"

God that would be sexy.

"I'd love to see you in all kinds of different outfits and hair styles." I agreed.

"Oh, is that right?" Hestia's grin widened, "I wonder, do you think I'd look good with pink hair?"

I blinked, confused at the sudden turn, "I mean you'd look good with any hair colour, but why?"

She gave me a teasing grin and shrugged her shoulders, "No reason, just a stray thought," she said, before reaching up to gently slap my cheek, "Now hop up and turn around so I can get this done and dealt with."

"Ah….right." I shrugged. It was definitely more than a stray thought for sure, but she'd tell him what it was about when it became relevant he was sure.

He didn't even bother getting up to let her off and just shifted around with a quick little spin so quick she was re-oriented before she even realised he was even moving.

"Show off." Hestia snorted, hands gently squeezing my shoulders.

"Guilty." I shrugged into her hands with a laugh.

I felt her hands leave my shoulders and a moment later, I felt a familiar droplet of blood land atop my back, before my falna erupted into light and lit up the room brightly once more.

"Alright, Hunter first!" Hestia hummed, trailing her finger down my spine gently as she concentrated, "And…hmnn! Yeah, here we go, just like I thought. I can direct your excess excelia stored in your skill towards an empty slot to fill it or direct it to an already existing development ability. Now, let's grab Mystery!"

Huh…

My skill just keeps getting better and better!

"Wait….huh?" Hestia made a sound of surprise and I froze.

"Did something go wrong?" I asked, brows furrowing.

"No, nothing like that…." she trailed off and I saw her twin tails whipping back and forth from my peripheral vision, meaning she was probably shaking her head, "It's just…there's still a ton of excelia left over. I think I can get you another one. Well I suppose considering all this excelia was enough to let you jump straight to level three if I used it all, it makes sense, a level up is superior to a single development skill appearing or ranking up."

I'm…I am really not sure how to respond to that.

"Honestly Caelan, I'm just going to stop being surprised when it comes to you," Hestia snorted, "So, what do you want to do? Do you want to grab another one, or maybe use this excelia and try and rank up Hunter or Mystery?"

I won't lie, ranking Mystery up straight away would be amazing and let me make better things straight away.

But-

"No, go for Metalworking." I decided decisively. Either it or Blacksmithing were my next biggest choices. If I was right, they'd help me both in and out of combat.

Granted Mage is tempting because it will massively boost my magic power and the power of any of my magic related abilities when used.

But Metalworking? If it lets me do what I think it will. I'll be able to freely control the shaping of the likes of my crystal armour better instead of just using my body as a template.

Meaning if I'm right, I'll be able to make crystal weapons and such on the fly.

"Alright, you're the captain of this ship." Hestia giggled, and hummed again as she once again began concentrating on my falna.

"There we go, it used up almost all of the excelia you have left, but that's you got metalworking as well," Hestia said a moment later and clapped her hands against my back, the light of my falna dimming away, "Turn around again."

I did as she said and quickly spun in place once again, causing Hestia to giggle as we ended up right in the position we started with her straddling my crotch, though this time, she had a piece of paper in hand again.

Huh, I hadn't even noticed her doing that.

"Well, here ya' go check it out." she grinned eagerly at me and handed me the sheet.

I took it gratefully and stared at recorded reflection of my falna on it, and god was it just crazy.

Magic

"Damn…just damn, that's crazy." I couldn't help but laugh.

"You're telling me," Hestia snorted and said drily, "Do you have any idea the kind of nonsense those other divine clowns are gonna pull if they ever find out even a fraction of your crazy status?"

…I have a good idea. I have Bell as a good marker of what not to do in regards to that.

"Speaking of," Hestia's eyes narrowed at me, "What the heck possessed you to tell Loki's favourite about Typhon."

Ah…right.

I forgot she would see that. But, luckily, I already have an excuse prepared for this.

"That was more spur of the moment and thinking ahead just in case," I replied with a sigh, "Before I came to you, I heard some rumours."

"Rumours?" Hestia's brows furrowed.

"Yeah….about people, adventurers even with the power of monsters and being able to control some," I shrugged with a frown, "We won't be able to keep it a secret I use the power of monsters. This way, letting it out in advance, I can basically have the Loki Familia vouch for us that we have nothing to do with them."

"Oh…" Hestia blinked, "Wait, why didn't you tell me about that all?"

"I didn't want to worry you." I replied sheepishly with the truth. I honestly hadn't wanted her to freak out about it, and it isn't even like I know much about it. I only saw the anime after all, and did some wiki diving.

Hestia sighed, shaking her head, "You dumbie," she said, before slumping down and wrapping her arms around my shoulders and nuzzling her cheek against mine, "You can tell me anything, especially if it's stuff like this that bothers you. I know I'm not the most competent goddess around, but at least let me support you even if it's minor."
