I relate to the first one pretty hard. If I'm not automatically great at the activity I try, I'll feel like I've failed already. It's probably due to me being pretty hyped up as a kid for everything I did. The lack of competition as a kid hit hard as soon as I had a lot of competition hit me at the same time. The thing that helped me in that case was realising that it was a very common thing. I watched videos on it and realised I wasn't alone in it. It also helped me realise that I was not any less intelligent; I was more intelligent than I'd ever been, I was just too busy comparing myself to look at myself for a second. When your aims are at an impossibly high standard, the end goal is always going to be distorted. It feels like you're so far away when in reality it's directly in front of you.
