Really enjoyed hearing the lads different takes on being a "gamer" or having that competitive drive and how that affects your mental/life. A lot of melee players seem to get lost in the sauce of placements and stream "grinding", and hearing how each person here has a version of that and how they deal with it is great to dig in to

In regards to Miles story about the beer on the table, I think a big part of it is, for someone like Miles, it's just a beer on the end of the table and it's not going to go past that. But really, if someone "disrespects" (I hate using that word like that) your space you don't really know how far it's going to go, and so you have to make sure you draw the line so that they don't try and cross it. It's more so that people here will just do shit like try and take over your space if you don't show a little agression

People here in Australia don't really feel the need to lay out the ground rules of "This is my area, fuck off", especially if it comes down to something as small as a beer on the end of their table. The way you explained it makes perfect sense though, you never know if that person is just going to stop there, or keep on intruding in your space. Guess that people in the US just have more of a tendency to keep on pushing past that line if you don't immediately get on them about it.
