I was being babysat by my Mum's friends when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I got up in the middle of the night to pee, and my Mum's friends were waxing their legs in the kitchen. They were using a saucepan on the stove to heat the wax (it was 1984, so, not exactly modern technology) Afterwards I had nightmares on and off for a few weeks about witches peeling skin of each others legs, cooking it and eating it.
