"You realize you have a type, right?" you say, tilting your head back to look up at Davy's face. 

You see Davy arch their eyebrow, their focus still on their iPad. "I have no idea what you mean."

"Come on." You let your fingers gently skim the edge of their shirt, barely grazing the hard plane of their stomach. You know they're studying, but with your head in their lap, their thighs under you - they should know it'd be impossible for you to focus...or let them focus. "You can't tell me you don't know."

"I've only dated one person before you. That's barely anything to go off of."

"Yeah, but don't you think Aaron and I are kind of...similar?"

At this, Davy sets their iPad aside, gives you a skeptical look. "Really?"

You smile. "Jean and me are pretty similar too."

Davy blinks at you, but not before you catch a flash of embarrassment on their face. Got them. So you were right. 

You see their mouth open, but you shake your head. "I'm not mad, you know. I like them, too."

"You...like them?" Davy repeats. "Like...?"

You nod, lace your fingers with theirs. "Yeah. Like that."

"How did you know that...?" They blow out a breath. "I guess it was obvious."

"Not that obvious. I just...kind of had the feeling." 

"And - you're not upset?" they say. "I mean, it doesn't change the way I feel about you - "

"I know." You press Davy's hand against your mouth, just a brush of a kiss. "It doesn't change the way I feel about you either."

They let out a startled laugh. "Look at us. Working through our feelings."

"Look at us." You smirk. 

They gaze down at you, and you sigh as you feel their thumb brush over your bottom lip. 

"What should we do?" they say.

"Be adults about it." You curl in closer to them. "Talk to them."

"Is this part of my type?" they tease. "Emotional intelligence?"

You grin. "Wouldn't you like to know."
