To explain some things you missed. The White Hart: It is seen as a sign of luck as they’re super rare. Otto believes that if the Hart shows itself to Viserys/Aegon/himself then it’s a sign Aegon will be named heir. Alas it shows itself to Rhaenyra so this symbolises she’s heir and not Aegon. The Heir issue: There’s a lot of drops from people that they automatically assumed Aegon was heir. Jason calls Rhaenyra “Lady wife” and not “my future Queen”. Hobert (Otto’s brother) openly calls him the second of his name which is a title given only to a monarch. Criston saying “they have no choice to”. Otto going to Alicent to try and talk her into convincing Viserys. Daemon’s reaction: There’s two sides to consider- both Viserys’ and Daemon’s. To Viserys it’s him wanting to finally help his brother albeit late. But better late than never. To Daemon it’s more like “for three years you’ve refused to help and only once it was all but confirmed we would lose you’re sending aid? Go f*** yourself brother”. Plus if they did wait for the ships Viserys sent Viserys would get the credit. Daemon doesn’t want his brother to take credit for winning a war he’s been fighting pretty much single-handedly for years.

Just a note, Criston Cole is a member of the kingsguard. They are sworn to celibacy because kings don't want their guards to play around with their wife or daughters. Criston will die if he does anything with Rhaenyra and is found out.
