Originally, Tofar were one of the first tribes, and they were based on my very old art:

I like tiger girls, and I like fox girls... and so I like tiger-fox girls. It was a decision without questions to make a whole tribe of them.

Tofar Final Sketch:

At first they had very basic look and I felt boring during main concept. However there was enough events happened at the same time that gave me an idea: I saw scp-1471 "art", The Ancient Magus' Bride new season, and a lot of artworks of masked girls from artist Koyorin were recommended to me by algorithm... So I realized that I have to give Tofar that prevalent feature of "bone mask". Initially it was a full head like scp-1471 one, but then it was shrinked to follow Koyorin example. A little bit later I also made Tofar spiky to compliment their masks, but after playing Monster Hunter sometime later and fancying Odogaron paws I changes spikes direction downwards, adding more between fingers and toes too.

When it comes to personality and history I always wanted them to be one of two main tribes of Breast Faction, and I also wanted them to be savage and aggressive in their way. So I just started writing and eventually somehow enough was written to integrate both of its features, and two separate groups of Tofar were written in. Some adjustments to personality of Noble Tofar were made because of the Realms of Bosom adjustments (which were results of overall map adjustments), but they are both close to what I wanted originally. Additionally, the more I was progressing other parts of my world (specifically Feet Faction, idea of Envasions and Cults of Envy) the more fitting place Feral Tofar had for themselves rather than just existing as different look.

When it comes to clothing design I am mixing Viking fashion of leather and fur with Japanese sexy kimono designs (turning it into fur coats when applicable), inspired from ideas that Tofar are fox girls like Kitrsune and the fact that the Realms of Bosom is snowy/cold land fitting for stereotypical Vikings; also adding random metal pieces here and there (because the Realms of Bosom is the land of metal too).
