Soldier + Miss Petrova Sketches 1 + 2 + 3 (Patreon)

A while back, before I decided on doing the Mickey + Jessica story as my next comic, I had of course considered doing The Soldier and Miss Petrova! They seemed like a natural route, but their story is heavy for me. It was a really difficult choice, but I worried about committing to such an intense, somber story hot on the heels of Starfighter ending?

Perhaps that is a bit too IRL, my apologies! But I felt like it was wise to hold off on it.. at least, for now.

I was explaining my feelings about this to my dear friend who helped me workshop some of the Soldier and Miss Petrova story, so I felt inspired to revisit these characters! 

I gave the Soldier a haircut! I had always struggled to know what to do with her hair..  (I have such a specific idea of her appearance that she is sometimes very difficult for me to draw!😂💦) I'm not sure if I'll stick to it, but it was an interesting design test.
