Developer Update || 3 or 4 Updates Remaining (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

Before I jump into the first look of the next update of Sexy Quest, I wanted to talk a bit more about SQ as a whole and the last few updates for it.

== ~4 Updates Left ==

I've always planned on SQ being a shorter project.  The challenging part of that is the easy underestimation of what's needed/required to make it all come together.  Most of my projects always go longer than planned because of that.

However, the lead artist is unable to work on SQ past 2022 and while I enjoy working on SQ, it's quite a mentally taxing game to create so it's for the best that this project have a hard cap on it's release schedule.

This means SQ should have either 3 or 4 updates remaining yet there's quite a lot that I still want to get done.

So what does this mean for SQ and afterwards?  I'll break it up into 3 sections!

== Revising Old Story ==

One thing SQ has yet to do is unveil the 'big bad' character.  And judging by the full name of the game, it's not really meant to be a secret.  Once the design has been completed, during one of these new updates, I'd like to revise some earlier story content so the player can learn about this villain much sooner.

Knowing I need to condense the game a bit more too, at some point, I'll likely be revisiting older content and revising it so that everything flows at a pace that I'm happy with.

There's a strong chance the final update of the game will be where all of these major revisions and updates occur.

== Echo Scenes ==

In order to make sure everyone has a fair amount of content, I'm going to try utilizing echo scenes a bit more.  This is just a term I use for scenes that reuse a pose but with a new character.  It's an efficient way to add content to the game.

New scenes & poses will still be in the works of course!  But expect to see a few similar poses either for sidequest characters or for lesser important scenes that help allow new interactions while still hitting that end of year goal.

== Next Project ==

The next game project is also in early stages of development!  I posted a silhouette teaser on my twitter account (@sirensdomain) so you can get an idea of what's in the works.  If you saw that poll I conducted on here a little while back, you'll probably know what it's about ;)

The goal is to have this project start up immediately after Sexy Quest wraps up so you can expect to see the Alpha build in early 2023!  I think fans of Town of Passion should enjoy this new project as it will be returning to some familiar roots.

I plan to do an official unveiling of this project later in the year so keep your eyes peeled for that!
