Hey everyone!

Got a few different things I wanted to update you all on today!

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Save files from the Alpha update should now be compatible with this upcoming Beta 0.1 update.  This has changed from the previous Patreon update.

(I do still recommend a fresh playthrough since I'll be making changes to the Prologue chapter)


== Mechanics ==

This month has been a giant mental hurdle as I've struggled with making important mechanical decisions that will define the entire future of the game.  Namely- the class change system.

The class change system is going to be simpler than what I was originally testing out.  Later in the game, characters will get a branching class decision that will help provide some flexibility while not being overwhelming.  It's a nice balance to all of the different ideas I was testing out.  But it also won't matter to you, the player, for a little longer.

Now that I've got it mostly figured out, I can get out of this rut of constantly going back and forth with different ideas! *phew*


== Art Demands ==

Every artist I work with has a different time frame for what is possible to complete.  So I'm still trying to figure out the most optimal way to balance the art with the gameplay & update schedule for Sexy Quest.

In the future, I'd like to look at reintroducing echo scenes on occasion.  These are scenes that use the same pose but feature a different character & background.  Echo scenes are highly efficient at adding some extra content in a reasonable time frame.

Not every scene will get an echo variant but this seems like the only real way to have more than one NSFW scene per update while still keeping releases pretty frequent.

This is a sexy quest after all.  It's going to need a plethora of NSFW content!


== Release Window & Changes ==

It's still far too soon to give a release date just yet.  However, if you follow my Zombie's Retreat 2 Patreon page, I'm trying something new.

Rather than aim to provide a single release date, I'm going to try to stick to giving a release window.  This way, if I need to delay a build by a day or two, I won't need to announce it.  I'll still be aiming for the usual Fri releases for $5+ Patrons and the Monday public release.

When I'm absolutely certain, then I'll announce a release date on twitter/discord!

Right now, I'm anticipating that Beta 0.1 will be ready to release in late October!  

There's still much that needs to get done though so this window could get pushed back slightly.

Stay tuned for more actual previews & teasers of Beta 0.1!  With a better plan of the gameplay in mind, that just leaves the naughty stuff ;P
