Sexy Quest Update - Sexy Animations (Patreon)

Hey everyone!
Wanted to share a little update on the 'game' side of Sexy Quest as things start to fall into place!
== Battle System ==
The goal for the Alpha release is to get the core mechanics of the game working. The main obstacle is the battle system. I want to make something that's fun and meaningful without being too overwhelming or too demanding.
Visually, I also want something that looks more polished. So for the past year or so, I've been looking around for ways to make this possible and I think I have found just the right plugin!
I've decided to use a particular plugin and art bundle (Dragonbones from Visustella with Aekashics art pack) which come with hundreds of enemy designs many of which also include smooth animations!
(NOT a paid/sponsored promo. But a good resource for other devs out there!)
I guess a still image doesn't really show it but that Jiangshi enemy is moving, I swear!
Originally, I was planning to find an artist & animator to make custom enemies but this would increase the scope/scale of Sexy Quest far more than I was wanting. And while most enemies will be used in this art pack, the ability to add in a few custom enemies should still possible too! Just wait till we get to the secret bosses... >_>
== Playable Characters ==
This could always change in the future but I have opted to use the in-game style for the playable characters. This simplifies the otherwise complicated process of finding & animating battle designs for them and allows me to look at maybe changing up their outfits if character's change classes. A class change system is something I'd really like to explore to help give the battle system a little more depth in a later update!
Do note, the screenshot you are seeing above is very rough Alpha footage. This will change by the Alpha release.
== Release Window ==
August is flying by a little faster than I'd like. However, I do feel like I am making steady progress with this Alpha build. I still can't say whether or not the Alpha of SQ will release in late August or if I'll need to push it into September quite yet.
I will let you all know as soon as I have a better idea. Hoping to know by this time next week. I plan to test a few battle styles which is why it's hard to know quite yet.
