He Hodos finds another machine made by ancient civilization from the past. By now, they know that these machines are remnants from the people of our era and Sha'altis are the result of these ice-making machines gone haywire. Basically these machines were made to counter global warming but went crazy and brought a whole ice age instead. He Hodos mission to destroy these machines were helping the world become warmer again.

Ludric's group fights against a huge three-headed snake Sha'alti and Ludric is able to slay off the last head.
