Shadowban is the word that all nude photographers and models fear. It is the blocking of your content due to violation of the terms of use of the network.

How to check if you have a shadowban or not?

  • Search by nickname: Go to Instagram from an alternate account and type the nickname of your main account into the search engine. If your profile only comes up after fully entering your nickname, this could indicate a shadow ban. Also, make sure your main posts are not hidden from your followers.
  • Test with videos and hashtags: Post a video to your feed, adding an unpopular hashtag. Then, from another account, try to search for your video using that hashtag. If the video doesn't show up, a shadow ban is possible.
  • Geolocation and search: Post a geolocated post and see if your post appears in location-based search results.

Keep in mind that Instagram doesn't clarify what content is considered objectionable, but experience shows that the following actions can trigger a shadow ban:

  • Using massive and banned hashtags.
  • Posting with more than 30 hashtags, as well as mass-liking and mass-following.
  • Spoofed activity, including one-size-fits-all comments.
  • Using external autoposting services.
  • Too many unsubscribes, especially after givens.
  • User complaints about your content or account.

The most famous option for a nude photographer is complaints from colleagues or detractors . I've had 6 instagram accounts already and it's saddening
