Not so long ago I was approached by a photographer with a problem. After a stormy party after a photo shoot, within the framework of which a lot of alcohol was consumed, he for some unknown reason decided to erase the photos (in fact, the model sat on the laptop and the photos disappeared. Unfortunately, he didn't tell me the details), which he had just taken and merged on the laptop.

In the morning, when he woke up, he felt horror - his valuable photos had disappeared from his hard disk. He was in a panic and turned to me as a person who has 3 backups of his portfolio just in case.

I had a program at hand - Undelete 360, released back in 2013. I decided to give it a shot and despite its age, try using this program. I had to admit that this decision was a kind of "last hope", because both the laptop was ancient and the application is the same :)

Having launched the program, I started the long and nervous process of scanning the hard drive. Yes, many modern laptops are now equipped with faster SSDs, which significantly speeds up the process, but the photographer had a regular HDD. This, very much, slowed down the whole process.

However, after 12 hours of waiting, Undelete 360 finally finished scanning and suddenly gave an incredible result - the program found all the lost photos! It even found some home porn :) The photographer was literally delighted, and me too, to be honest, because a bottle of tequila is a bottle of tequila :)

And now, dear subscribers, I want to hear your experience: what programs have you encountered when recovering data? Share your stories in the comments. I want to collect a list of photo recovery apps.
