5/19 Apex Legend Patch Notes:

Wattson: NEW ULTIMATE: GROWTH PYLON

Place an electrified pylon that increases enemy legend size by 100% and slows movement by 25%, but reduces damage taken by 25%. While within the pylon's radius, Wattson herself gains the Fortified passive and is slowed by 20%. 

We felt that Wattson was underperforming compared to other defensive legends, and we wanted to make her kit better synergize with her tactical fences. By increasing enemy legend size and slowing their evasive capabilities, players will find it more difficult to get around her fences. To compensate for this, Wattson will also move slower, encouraging the Static Defender to place her ultimate tactically, and focus on the larger, swollen, targets.
