Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

Firstly, if you haven’t yet heard the news in our recent announcement, we are delighted to confirm that The Magnus Protocol will officially launch on 18th January 2024 at 4pm GMT. The show will be released on the existing Magnus Archives RSS feed and will be made available to Kickstarter backers at the right tier and Knights and Nobles here on Patreon 48 hours earlier, on the 16th January. The announcement also includes a trailer for The Magnus Protocol, which you can also watch on our YouTube channel

We also shared a Patreon exclusive end of year update from our COO, Hannah Brankin, giving you a detailed update on everything we’ve done this year and the ways we used funds raised from Patreon thanks to your subscriptions. To reiterate Hannah’s message: thank you, so much, for listening to our shows, reading these newsletters and for supporting us the way you do. As we enter the holiday season, our newsletters will be a little shorter than usual, but we’ll continue to share our weekly schedules and will be back in the new year with a bang as we ramp up to the release of The Magnus Protocol and share the final few episodes in Of That Colossal Wreck.

Speaking of Of That Colossal Wreck, this week we’ll be sharing episode 5 of the 7 episode series. Last week, our survivors headed to the bridge, exploring deeper into the space station than they ever had before. But now it’s time for them to give some answers… On the public Cry Havoc feed we have another backstage episode! Lowri, Katie and Cathy are chatting about editing a large cast, and how they handle complex sound design. This is a really interesting chat, especially if you’re interested in creating your own podcast sometime. Knights and Nobles can listen to this episode now, here on Patreon.

Finally, in news from the RQ Network, Selene – a narrated supernatural mystery - has just completed its first full-cast season: The Fata Morgana, a vintage-style train mystery. If you like classic Agatha Christie or Alfred Hitchcock, then these three episodes might be one for you! A Countess, a magician, a baron and a country lass are on a trip on the Fata Morgana, a night train where travellers can enjoy comfortable cabins and delightful cuisine. However, they soon stumble into some trouble… You can listen to this series, plus every episode of Selene wherever you find podcasts, on the Rusty Quill website, or on the Clever>Than website.

Here is our full schedule for this week:
