Coco Bandicoot (Timelapse) (Patreon)

This was a doozy. Coco is one of my favorite characters, specially with the new design on Crash 4, so I wanted to ahem spend some time on this one. Same deal as always, only this time I wanted to pay special attention to minute detail, so most of the last bit, I spend the day tiding up the painting real close, nearly abstract levels of figure painting to give that crispy feel. also note that the BG barely shows any colors? That's a nice trick to put the character in the forefront of the picture, while still giving the sense of a BG. the colors there are all pastel, near white, while Coco's  mostly in shadow,  which gives this neat contrast, pulling her towards us even more.
