I don't think the members themselves were sure they'd debut as 9. JYP or rather the company probably had a pretty good idea. And orchestrated it all. I used to be convinced of that until other people told me about earlier survival shows where it was a serious option and actually happened. On the other hand, I feel that this particular survival show was very different. Because CHan chose the members himself and was allowed to. That was totally new. So right now...I'm not 100% certain anymore, but still very much leaning in that direction. This was the plan all along and they used all the drama and the whole show to launch them. But the members? We now know that Chan and Felix went home crying after Felix's elimination and cried through the night. I don't think they would talk about that years after the fact if it wasn't real. I fully agree with everything you said in the end about false accusations. ABout redemption. Etc. Everything. I do wish to point something out. Because I find that many older Stays spread false information, although they're often convinced by now that it's the truth and new Stays don't do the research themselves: Woojin left in October 2019. At that moment the only thing fans knew was that the members had been very silent for a bit. There were no rumours about sexual assault or anything. When the announcement came, it just stated Woojin left for personal reasons. A whole year later, September 2020, anonymous tweets about SA started. The incident those rumours were about, was supposed to have happened in April that same year. So at least 6 months after Woojin left Stray Kids. Those rumours were proven false. I feel really bad for him that that happened. It's unfair. It is criminal in my book. NOt only does it hurt the person falsely accused, but it also hurts every real victim of SA. So it shouldn't have happened. It's awful. HOwever, it is separate from why he left Stray Kids. As to date, we do not know why he is not with Stray Kids anymore, except for that one statement. ANd we'll likely never know, because of the Korean culture where you simply don't talk about it anymore. IN Western culture both sides would have been on every talk show and in every magazine, voicing their opinions. ANyway, because of how I feel about false accusations I value facts. ANd the facts are we don't know. And the false accusations related to an incident (that never happened) long after he'd left Skz. Sorry, for my long comment. And I am afraid it will get people's feathers ruffled, but I can't stay silent when it's about facts. I've thoroughly enjoyed your journey into Stray Kids' beginning. Hope you'll do more Skz!!
