The ADHD in you came out there in the beginning. Don't worry, I have it too and I'm the same way. I've started keeping a list of stuff to Google/find out when I think of it while doing something else, otherwise, I'll forget. Yay adhd! 😬 Edit: when you started talking about hoops, Hula Hoops by DPR Live came into my head and I had to pause to listen to it.

Usually the mornings are the worst for me lol As the day goes on my brain settles a bit more.

Jessica Danowski

I was so glad to see that they did a Monsta X song! They are my ult and I think Love Killa was a great song choice. Very iconic. I was bummed they left out the whole "Look into my eyes, straight into my eyes and say; I want you to eat me like a main dish." LOL If you haven't seen the original you should check it out. :)

Samira

More to keep in mind, a lot of the things you think sound or look harsh from the trainees aren't as harsh in korean as well as in korean culture, the english translations can make it come across wrong/rude sometimes. Also I, like everyone else LOVE Hanbin, however I don't think that should take away from others talent and effort, such as Zhanghao, because thats kind of what it sounded like you were saying at 2:30:10

Penpen

I remember you saying that you watched ‘Hotel Del Luna’ and IU (the girl singing ‘Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms’) is actually the lead actress in that drama!

Oh man we're already halfway through! It's only getting better and better now, but at the same time more painful with eliminations and so many talented boys going home. Also this episode is pretty much the final kick for HaoBin (Zhang Hao and Sung Hanbin) ship to start sailing, lmao.. I'm rarely a delulu but with these two I am one proudly. They were meant to cross paths in this lifetime, and I ain't even talking about romance wise. Also for the next episode, I highly recommend reading english lyrics to the Limousine stage. They made the lyrics themself, talking about their journey, mnet's evil editing and haters. It made me literally bawl my eyeballs out and I'm not a very emotional person. Maybe watch the stage and after it watch a clip with english translations, it adds SO MUCH depth to the performance. Actually, here is a link for one translated video: https://youtu.be/g5GkjD9YxcM I also recommend watching all the extra clips on mnet youtube page at some point, you get to know the boys so much better via these clips!

I was really sad that Lee Hwan Hee had to drop out due to health reasons, I was really happy when he made it through the 1st elimination and then he was gone by the next episode here.. Round 2 performances were generally great in my opinion and it was such a fun round to watch for me, so I'm glad you are also enjoying it more now after the K G thing was dropped :)

I'm sad you missed the boys saying "Are you ready for the group of queens?" to each other at the beginning of the episode hehe. Sung Hanbin is a Korean national treasure and you cannot convince me otherwise. He did however drop a big fat lie in this episode and it always cracks me up (his motivation to choose Tomboy, lmao) - there are some extra clips from behind-the-scenes of this mission: https://youtu.be/0O8cd0NT2VY and https://youtu.be/mWwerrCflmw If you will feel like watching them I would recommend doing so after ep. 7 for more context but they dont really have spoilers so its ok. I totally agree with mnet being drama chasers (sorry to say, there is few instances of it in future episodes) but such is fate of reality show sadly. Happy to see that you and many others don't really get swayed by it and can see through selective editing that some stuff is bit blown out of proportion - making some small misunderstandings into big drama... I'm super happy rewatching bp with u and I hope you'll come to adore the boys same way I do and you'll enjoy the final debut team. They are gearing up for their debut currently so fingers crossed you can avoid spoilers for time being :D

I totally get where you are coming from in relation to Seowon pushing the G member out. First time I watched it, I felt icky and annoyed too.

For the song section/Push war : There are always a lot of differents reasons why you might push someone or not, whether it logical or not, it's sad we don't get their reasoning of pushing someone. Sometime you just want the high rank to stay, otherwise you can choose to push someone because you are way closer to the others already in the team (some trainees talked like 1 or 2 times together only or never) or it's the contrary you worked with this person before/are close to him already so you want to perform with others people, it might be also skill wise (you think the others suit the song better, you saw less of this trainee than the others etc). For Seowon, I don't think he pushed Hiroto only because he is a G-GROUP member (and I'm a big G-GROUP defender), it may be for another reason we don't know, also it seem like Hiroto and him are close, Hiroto actually said Woongki and Seowon are two people who couldn't stop trying to kiss him or hug him. When it's come to push war in survival show, I don't try to read into it much. Also I don't remember bad things Seowon did or said, he is actually one of the trainees who is really loved, a social butterfly. Presentation of the team : They did Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms team dirty especially Ichan. He had a crack one time because he was sick and MNET keep using it, it's so annoying. He is actually a good singer, he was in ILAND and he is also producer in the team PAPERMAKER. You will see their performance it's good. The Mingyu editing will always make me laugh, especially them comparing with Woojin. They need to mix both of them to have the great amount of control. For Rush Hour, the thing is, I don't think what Ma Jing Xiang and Ricky did was bad. As much as they are a team, you have different way of working especially if you consider time limit, you need to be efficient. Both Ma Jing Xiang and Ricky learning the dance meanwhile Sungmin teach/help Takuto isn't bad, they can't stand here and do nothing, in any case, what they are doing can actually get very handy because they can teach the rest of the choreography afterward GANG PERFORMANCE : So people being shock about this song when it was revealed is normal. GANG is an original song from Rain, that's why Keita was making this face, CIIPHER (his group) was created by Rain. Not to lie, I have beef with this man because he creates groups but mismanage them and doesn't promote them as he should (even when fans ask for news they get nothing) so as much as he is a legendary artist, a lot of people don't vibe with him (I don't neither). GANG actually ended up being a meme on internet, I think especially the dance, the original song is not my taste I will say but they got the remix which is better but still not wow. This team did so great with what they had, Seunghwan rapping when he is actually a vocalist (all rounder Seunghwan), Junhyeon creating a great choreography even with little experience not to add, I love the fact he added funny factors with the glasses and the Jiwoong reference. ZOOM PERFORMANCE : One of my favorite performance in this show. I had three of my pick in it (Wumuti, Haruto and Keita), how to say I was so happy. The way nobody wanted Hyunbeen to give up his part, it's so heartwarming, you could see how great of a team they were. They put everything in it. A great entrance, I love the effect of bouncing. One big point for me, it's the fact, you can find the unique color of each members. Their different part have different color, it's show their individuality but at the end, it mixed so well together that its feel like a team performance. They have multiples factors like Hyunbeen with the start, Wumutititi part (my icon, mother of G-GROUP actually) with his high note "LIGHT CAMERA ACTION", "Oops Ollie Wonka gotta go" (from Ollie PR video), Keita entrance for his part and Haruto breakdance as a big climax. Haruto did the choreography with Wumuti, he actually said he wanted to put a death drop or a dip but it didn't fit in the performance 😂 Also this performance was the last one during the recording, so for the public to scream like that, it's a big thing because after standing for hours, they are for sure tired. HOME & LOVE KILLA : I never have much to say on those performance, they are great ARTIST BATTLE : For you to understand, even if they will explain in next episode I think. The boys made videos to apply for the song they wanted and Star Creators had most of the power on this, they could chose to put who they wanted in which songs

NamiCb

Thank you sm for this episode!

FroggyMuds

I don't really think seowon had that intention when pushing someone out, I think it was just dependent on who he thought he would work best with. He's pretty close with a lot of g group trainees from what I've seen so I don't think it was that

alysssa

I don't know if you know this but the reason they stress that the voting is fair every episode is because MNET had been caught in 2019 for manipulating votes in their past competition series. They did it for all of the Produce Series and the groups created from those shows were really successful so it was huge. Though like you were saying, the voting is technically still not 100% fair. The voting is set up so that Korean votes equal 50% of the votes and the other 50% is every other vote, making Korean votes count more. Sorry this was kinda messy. I'm bad explaining things.

Clara V.P

yeah the elimination episodes are quite long but as the competition deepens they turn more watchable specially as we become more familiar with the trainees and root for our faves, the added suspense makes them entertaining enough, also the filler segments of the next eliminations are the most enjoyable imo lmao so you'll be fine I hope!

Maria

zhang hao pretending he needed help with the korean pronunciation just for an excuse to flirt with hanbin was such a slay...also if you're reacting the way you are now to interactions between people that you'd need to squint at a little to perceive as maybe kind of gay, you're really in for a ride because from ep 7 onwards it's just become a commonly acknowledged fact even among non-shippers that zhang hao and hanbin are very much in love with one other. i'd also like to recommend what a previous commenter said about watching the ep 7 behind the scenes clips after you watch the episode because hanbin really was lying on national television when he said what his motivation for joining the tomboy team was...

I was also about to recommend checking the lyrics for Limousine. Happy to see someone beat me to it.

Boys Planet has tons of extra things to see outside of the episodes, so if you ever feel like watching some, I think this is a very good one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLtCYwnpWn4). It's very funny and it's all about the trainees and their friendships. Honestly, I'm not sure why it didn't make it into the episode and was just posted to Youtube.

Caroline Costley

Jiwoong was referring to Junhyeons abs reveal when he said “I feel like he stole it from me” it was an Mnet edit that wanted to show him in a bad light so they played it after his performance instead

Eren Jaeger

looking forward to ep7!!!

Hey Shawn! I saw how much you enjoyed the dance battle bit! So I definitely think you should react to Street Man Fighter when you can 🥰 I know you’re gonna enjoy it!
