That was lovely to watch. Even if I wasn't there in the live stream. Loved what you said about Felix. Yes. Yes Yes. To all you said. Oh and one thing...yes, Chan said on Chan's Room that he based it on Romeo and Juliet, without the tragic ending. Forbidden love. Against the rules. BUt there's connection? Following your heart and your gut? Fits Romeo and Juliet. You asked if there was sex in Romeo and Juliet and I saw a comment saying that they were 14 in the play.....well, yes to both. There are entire uni courses on sex in Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet is definitely one of them. Juliet was 14, but about to be married off and clearly according to convention at the time ready for babies...sex. And there is so much innuendo about that in her father's speech to her about her having to do as she is told and marry Paris. There is also innuendo about Romeo's love live. We don't read the words as crude now as they were in those days. But they were explicit enough if you look at the history of the language. And the two get married in the play, albeit without parental permission. Anyway...I could list all the quotes here, but yes, there is a LOT of sex in Romeo and Juliet. So I see what Chan meant here hahaha. Oh and he said he'd had to tone it down before they could release this one..hmmm...makes one curious haha.
