New Things Coming (Patreon)

Hi loves!

First, I want to thank each one of you for being a Patron. It means the world to me that you support what I'm doing and I can never express that enough.

I mentioned on stream how I will begin to do things moving forward. YouTube copyright system has been...well not the greatest. I think we all learned that from the Stray Kids stream...when it abruptly cut out and we had to move to Twitch.

So, I've come up with a new content model...
(Yeah, in case you didn't already know that I'm a Psych researcher...and as such,  I nerded out a little here hahaha)

It has been my goal since the beginning to make the content I put out as free as I possibly can...however, YouTube's copyright system has largely made that difficult for reactors and the companies themselves have [largely] abused the system. However, keeping things as "free" as possible is still my ultimate goal.

*by free, I mean no out-of-pocket cost to the viewers*

So let me explain the model a bit:
Streams: Twitch's system, although archaic, still allows for us to watch these shows and MVs. They are a little ad happy....but they allow us to come together and watch our favorite series and MVs. This is LIVE streaming and so I am also able to interact with viewers and sometimes they point out things that I might miss. However, it can be a little distracting sometimes. Users can subscribe on twitch (for free if they have Amazon Prime or are gifted a subscription) and so there is no out-of-pocket cost if they do not wish to.

YouTube: Starting soon, I will begin editing reactions to about 15 - 20 minutes. Likely this will be key moments or deeper discussions that I have. This will, of course, be free to all viewers and will hopefully let us go around some of the copyright issues we've had recently. 15 - 20 minutes is also usually the average watch time on my videos, which is why this was chosen.

(I haven't decided if YouTube members will get the video a day or two before non-members yet)

Patreon: This is the only paid aspect of the model. For the full, uncut version of the reactions, viewers can become Patrons of the channel. I've purposefully set my rate as low as Patreon recommends (Seriously, I got a warning from Patreon when I tried to go lower because of their fees). Additionally, I will be trying to come up with additional perks for higher tiers.

YT Shorts & TikTok: These are seen as the fastest ways to grow right now. Shorts are being promoted hard on YT and even more so in 2023 as they extend ads to shorts and TikTok is Tiktok lol. When companies compete like this, it offers a good opportunity for creators to grow. Soooo, I've been forced to try and come up with good clips for these platforms. These are, of course, free to all viewers, though in 2023 they may start to see ads on YouTube.

(Instagram is left off because it's dying. They're trying too hard to be TikTok/Shorts and I've not met a single person who enjoys that...

So, my Insta will just be like an unofficial/official psynergic space for more personal and how I'm feelin')
