We need a Good Morning version of Shadow Nibbly.

Further proof that Nibbly is not just a "squirrel" Sythe just woke up in time to barely catch an unclear glimpse of Nibbly transforming back into her squirrel form. She's actually an ancient, adorable eldritch horror who's actual form is what appears to be a dragon(/squirrel hybrid(?)) made from shadows.

I already suspected that Mrs. Nibbly was a dragon, and is VASTLY more intelligent than if she were a simple squirrel...

Looks a lot like Mis Alia from Feretta's series aToT

Yup, this almost confirms it. Remember how in Reni's character sheet, it explains that dragon shapeshifting consumes exponentially more mana, the larger the form they take (but of course their normal/natural form is "at rest", consuming no mana)? This would also apply in the reverse, that much smaller forms also consume exponentially LESS mana. We saw from the sketch of Lady Nora's very early/young years, that even at practically an infantile age (for a dragon), she was still a bit larger than a human. So, here's my theory: Nibbs is an infant dragon. Although dragons are immune to the negative effects of aging, we've seen many examples of the fact that they can still be killed. An infant/baby dragon would therefore be most vulnerable to this unfortunate end, since they would not yet be big & powerful enough to effectively defend themselves from aggressors, and perhaps even some large predators. It would make sense therefore, for an infant dragon to use shapeshifting as a defense mechanism. Disguising themselves as a small, non-threatening rodent would consume very little mana to maintain (since a squirrel is still much smaller than a baby dragon), and would cause most creatures that would be a threat to a baby dragon (such as humans, or large predators) from even paying them any attention. Any natural predators of that small rodent however, would not be a threat to a baby dragon, so they can just drop the disguise if something tries to prey on the "squirrel".

Group B also thought she might be a baby dragon while discussing her at the hot spring. You wouldn't expect their very first guess to be correct, but it does look like we're heading in that direction.

I too follow that comic. I find it hard to bide the time between each new page.

I think it likely that Nibs is a young dragon, a little under scythes age proportionally. Young adult. However, I was toying with the idea that maybe it was the remnant of the demon trace summoned and Nora defeated lol. I think it was roughly the same area, and the whispiness kinda supports an ephemeral nature
