Here's the June mini-sode, voted overwhelmingly by you, the patreons, to be Marilyn Monroe.

Also, so sorry the full episode is taking so long. Doing an episode on 9/11 is... tricky, but it will be up soon!

As soon as "candle in the wind" was namedropped, my mind immediately went to Mouserat. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Well done. I think everyone has met an attractive woman who's captivating beauty was more of a hindrance then a help to many of her endeavors. I knew this blonde bombshell through Texas theatre who had that problem. She wasn't a celebrity, but she still couldn't go anywhere without drawing attention.

I loved this! "But what a picture", "You know what? No comment."...Are you implying that you aren't a fan of The Misfits, or am I missing something? It wasn't my favorite performance of hers, but I still think she really stretched her acting chops on it, and the movie overall, I did find pretty moving, because, ya know, Arthur Miller has a knack for doing that. The intro of this video was absolute perfection; it was poetry. After that, almost everything you said was fascinating news to me, and I loved that!! I was surprised I didn't see any footage from The Who's Tommy in this. Obviously, their theme sort of echo's Warhol's, regarding pop culture worship. And it does fall within the point about how the sewer-grate scene was parodied by basically everyone; but it was still a pretty iconic usage of her persona, even if it portrayed as mere idolatry.

Hurray for Elisa! I'm glad you've got help with these.

Ending with the parks & rec scene ... A+

Mel Vitta

That was a downer, appropriately so. Thank you for making this.

2022-03-13 06:37:14 I was expecting Norma Jean & Marilyn to come up. It was a biopic that had Ashley Judd playing Norma Jean and Mira Sorvino playing Marilyn.

It seemed kind of weird to make light of her death. The punchline is intentionally undermining her life for the sake of the fans who get to have one last piece of "Marilyn".
