Destruction AllStars is adding bots

The PlayStation 5 exclusive is apparently having difficulty populating online matches during off-peak times, and developers Lucid Games have confirmed that bots will be introduced shortly as one of several updates being made to the game "further down the road."

  • Destruction AllStars hasn't had the greatest time since it launched back in February. The relative global scarcity of PS5 consoles and the game's low install base means that it just doesn't have a lot of players. Add in the fact that it's still pretty light on genuinely compelling content and it might not be long before only bots are playing Destruction AllStars.

Koch Media announce E3 showcase

The so-called "Koch Primetime" presentation will take place on Friday 11th June as part of Summer Game Fest. Koch Media oversee a lot of franchises - including Dead Island, Metro, and Saints Row - so we could see any number of announcements. Koch also recently reformed Free Radical Games to work on a new TimeSplitters.

  • Summer Game Fest will officially begin with Geoff Keighley's Kick Off Live show on Thursday 10th June, and will feature "more than a dozen" world premieres to kick off a "memorable month of announcements and updates" from various big publishers.

Peter Fabiano leaves Capcom after 13 years

Fabiano served most recently as producer on Resident Evil Village and was also the founder of Global Production at Capcom. Fabiano announced the departure via Twitter, where he thanked "everyone at Capcom for allowing me to grow with you" over the past 13 years.

  • Fabiano isn't leaving gaming entirely, of course. He's headed to Bungie to be their new Production Department Manager, where he will seemingly also be working on Destiny 2 - his Twitter post ends with the words "eyes up, Guardian."

Nintendo Switch Pro listing appears on Amazon

A product listing for a "New Nintendo Switch Pro" briefly appeared on Amazon Mexico over the weekend, amidst widespread reports that Nintendo will soon be announcing the upgraded console ahead of it going on sale later this year.

  • It's entirely possible that the listing was a mistake or a placeholder, though previous Amazon Mexico listings have successfully predicted products ahead of their official announcements - like the Switch version of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The Switch Pro is one of gaming's worst-kept secrets at the moment, so the sooner an official reveal comes the better.
