Akane mentions that they're not allowed to speak about the show until the season is done airing. Yuki couldn't speak about it at all, especially if her agency has any say about her online presence. This all happens in the span of maybe a week since they were getting together on weekends to film the show, so it all happened fast and heavy on poor Akane. Just imagine it happens on Saturday, airs on Tuesday, and she has to make it to the weekend just to hopefully film an apology.

Remember that all of the teens featured on the reality dating show are all from different fields and industries, as is shown in how they go about the show. Aqua is an actor that plays into whatever draws out the moment, Mem is an influencer that is always promoting her own brand, Yuki is a model and so she draws attention towards her, Akane is a stage actress that pours all of her being into the role she's playing. This is a terrible place for someone like Akane to be because to be a stage actress means to put yourself out there, but reality TV needs roles and Akane is trying to be authentic...she doesn't know how to play up her feelings like Yuki, so everything hits her. Kana also explained to Ruby about egosurfing and how it could affect her both negatively and positively, as the celebrity is the content the public is taking in. What we were witnessing with Akane was her trying her hardest at something she wasn't good at, while feeling so much pressure to perform, then getting shredded by the public with absolutely no support at all...so we saw her spiral into depression extremely quickly. When Akane went to the overpass, all she could think about was how she just wanted all the negativity to be over. Luckily for her though, Aqua searching for the mastermind behind his death and the death of Ai, means that he is always studying his environment and the people around him. Aqua was aware of the dark side to these industries and saw how it could go south with Akane, which even Men was aware of...as each of these teens on the show actually learned the personality traits of each other. They could all tell that Akane was a very sincere person and that she was trying her hardest to make her role work on the show, but just not knowing how...so they worried about what she would do and how she would handle things if they don't work out. Kana's work before this and this reality show, they are elements to Oshi no Ko that helped to skyrocket the anime's continued success...as it gives the audience a glimpse into what could be the world of celebrities. Oshi no Ko makes people have to think about whether we've ever been the kind of person that leads to an Akane walking off of a bridge. Makes us all want to be a little better about the comments we post, because we never know what kind of impact we could be having on another person's life.

yeah i was wondering if the contract thing she was talking about would affect yuki here. i guess i thought since akane already spoke out and only got a mild talking to by her manager then it wouldn't be that big a deal to just say something like "we are friends". then again i didn't realize the timespan of all this so yuki didn't really have much time to respond at all.

good points! i forgot that akane was a stage actor i thought she was just a rookie actor in general. explains why she kept trying to study for the role so hard.im very curious to see how the rest of the actors will react to all this happening to her since only a couple people were talking in that group chat.
